THE INAUGARAL PERFORMING ARTS VOCATIONAL TRAINING COHORT’S DEBUT PRODUCTION

On 18 July, our House of NEON Performing Arts Vocational Training cohort took to the stage at Mountview Theatre with The Vauxhall Opera, a bold new production inspired by John Gay’s The Beggar’s Opera and reimagined through the voices and experiences of young people in London today.

Blending theatre, dance, music and spoken word, the show was full of energy, ambition and plenty of heart. Created by NEON Performing Arts in partnership with Kingdom Drama School, it was a huge moment for our inaugural PAVT cohort as they stepped into the spotlight and shared their work with a live audience!

With a brilliant creative team behind them, including writer Kieran Kenlock / GoodVillains, director Karack Osborn, choreographer Emanuela Pagliei and music and vocal director Del Blake, our young performers brought The Vauxhall Opera to life with confidence, creativity and their own unique voices.

We’re so proud of what they created and of how far they’ve come! ❤️

Take a look at some of the moments from the show below. 📸
